-Use a humidfier during dry winter months to keep wood movement (cracks) to a minimum.

-During humid summer months, use air conditioning and/or a dehumidifier to keep wood from picking up too much moisture from the air.

-Use felt pads on the bottoms of furniture legs. Replace them when worn.

-Soaps and detergents are not needed on most of today's easy care finishes. Try (in a quart spray bottle) 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and filtered or distilled water. Moisten a terry cloth mop or mist floor with mixture and wipe dry.

-To avoid having the finish show wear, use grit-trapping mats or rugs inside and outside of entrances.

-Keep ladies' shoe heels in good repair. Replace the heel taps before the nail head shows through.

-Between cleanings, dust mop to keep floor looking like new.

-Do NOT use any WAX or MURPHY'S OIL SOAP.
